I thought I posted yesterday, but I didn't... oops. This is not really turning into much of a blog streak.
What I did yesterday... and the day before.
Sunday I didn't do anything. It was my rest day. And it was glorious.
The idea of Sunday rest days is to do the 75 minutes of cross training (bike) on Monday. 75 minutes is a long time to be on a bike inside your house. Or outside your house. I'm not very fond of it, but I could probably do it. Instead, I did 45 minutes yesterday before work and it was actually pretty awesome. I turned on my "Top 25 Played" on Apple music and just had my own little spinning class. I just spun with the beat! I even "climbed" to the entire We Be Clubbin' Remix feat. DMX and Wanna be a Balla by Lil' Troy (which is a freakin' six minute song but hey, the nice slow beat just worked for it). I "climb" by putting my bike on the highest gear possible. Funny anything less than that isn't enough resistance. I also add pushups which feel easy but you can do a lot of them during your "recovery" songs. My arms are actually sore!
Today is an easy run day. I wanted to get out there before work because I have dinner plans. But it's 40º and I am a wimp. Not really that. It's more that it's the absolute coldest right at this moment that it's going to be ALL week. So there's no point in getting out there today. I would rather shift my week around. I considered just doing the bike again before work like I did yesterday but I'm going to save that. I'll just make sure to get in a run before I go out.
