Yesterday was an unplanned rest day. I took that chance when I didn't work out in the morning before work. I did take a short walk during the day, but I was otherwise pretty lazy. I had a lot of work to do, and a call around 5:30 took much longer than I had anticipated. That's what happens when you have two jobs
I'm basically a 2016 female Chandler Bing, except I (currently, at least) love my job. My full-time daytime job is with a large healthcare/hospital organization for which I do enterprise analytics for one of their medical groups. We study things like specific disease populations with specific treatments and look at the effectiveness of said treatment retrospectively over a period of time.
And, like Chandler, I have work on the side, but only doing a very watered-down version of "statistical analysis and data reconfiguration." It's more like database creation in Access and a few reports here and there.
All this to say, I'm pretty busy. I'm lucky it doesn't get in the way all that much, really. But occasionally something comes up and you end up on the phone too long.
Today is another 6 miles after work. I'll make up my cross-training on Sunday even though I probably won't feel like it. I have an 18 mile run slated for Saturday. Currently my ankle is a bit sore, but I'm sure I can manage through it. After next weekend, I have a weekend off from running, so rest will have to wait until then.
